If you want to continue to play on the multiplayer server, do not update your client until you check this thread.

You WILL NOT be able to connect if you update before the server is ready.

I thought I would start a thread and I'll try and keep this updated with more information as we get closer to the release.

If you do update, get MagicLauncher and you can downgrade your Minecraft.

How long will it be untill the server will be untill you cannuse it with the update?

That is unknown. It all depends on how fast the programmers at bukkit and the programmers of all the servers plugins can release the updated ones. We have reason to believe this could take more than a month.

More then a month?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Gosh! I cant wait that long! I will be jumping from one update to the other! This will loose alot of users, also loosing ones who dont check fourms.

We might lose users, but we won't lose them to other servers because all servers must wait for the bukkit update. That was just a roughy estimate.
