Tagged forests

This is the volcanic Nordic island known as Iceland, made in Minecraft with scale 1:36, which means the map dimensions is 16300x12300 blocks! This is a quite difficult survival map. If you can't find a forest on this volcanic rock before the sun goes down, you're going to die. This map is made for servers, because it's too large to be a SSP map. Made using WorldPainter with height maps.
Major update 1.3: More realistic trees by Lentebriesje. Contains five different types of forests.

THIS WORLD HAS NOW BEEN ABANDONED
We have started over with a new seed from 1.4.5

This world was initially generated from 1.0.0, using the seed 1511796452. Lots of snow and tundra, chasms, crazy cliffs, swamps, forests, lakes, and rivers.

For our server, we split this world into 1024 x 1024 lots. The center of the world is the SPAWN area which is 1024 x 1024. We don't allow players to claim this lot. Players can claim any of the other lots and register their claims on our Google Docs sheet.

We have several large player homes and farms, a well-built spawn area, a giant Christmas tree near spawn, and the beginnings of public transportation. We've also started a couple of larger builds which will likely take months to complete.

G'lilion, (a random name I made up in my mind) Is a fort with a lava moat, dorms, an armory, and a food storage. This map was made with several mods:

Lots o' Mobs
Tall Doors Mod
Lanterns and Flashlights Mod

You can probably play without these, but I don't know what it will look like. You can fill in the missing pieces, though.

P.S.- I based the towers off of Sauron's tower in The Lord of the Rings. :)

This is the continuation of the Contiguous United States project. This map will further expand in the future down south from the New England region.
